With over 16 years of experience in education, Dr. O’Brien brings a deep commitment to student development both in the classroom and on the court. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and has served in a wide range of roles throughout his career, from one-on-one aide to high school assistant principal, as well as district-level Director of Athletics, Physical Education, and Health Education.

His professional journey spans diverse educational environments, including inner-city schools in New York City, suburban districts in upstate New York, and now prestigious private schools in West Palm Beach. This breadth of experience has shaped his student-centered approach and belief in the power of education to build confidence, character, and opportunity.

In addition to his work as an educator and administrator, he has coached multiple varsity sports, including baseball, basketball, and football. This will be his 9th year coaching high school basketball, and he continues to be passionate about using athletics as a platform for leadership development, discipline, and growth.

He is excited to join Coach Forbes and the coaching staff at The Greene School this season and looks forward to contributing to the team’s success while helping student-athletes reach their full potential on and off the court.
